Description
This Cheesy Bacon Broccoli In Air Fryer is a fantastic side dish recipe. Air fried broccoli along with bacon then topped with melty cheese is a perfect combo.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 Large Broccoli Crowns (1.5 lbs)
- 8 ounces Thick Cut Bacon – cut into 2” pieces
- 1 Tablespoon Oil
- Salt/Pepper – to taste
- 1/2 Cup Shredded Monterey/Jack Cheese
Instructions
-
- Trim stems from broccoli and cut florets into halves. (keep broccoli pieces larger to ensure they cook evenly with the bacon)
- Toss broccoli with oil, salt and pepper. Transfer to greased air fryer basket.
- Add bacon pieces to air fryer basket and toss with broccoli.
- Air fry at 380ºF 10-12 minutes or until broccoli is tender and bacon is to desired crispness. Top with shredded cheese then air fry at 380ºF for 1 minute to melt.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
The only tricky thing about this recipe is achieving your preferred bacon texture at the same time the broccoli is done. I like a slightly soft medium crisp bacon and that is what you will achieve following this recipe using thick cut bacon. If using thick cut and you like extra crispy bacon, start cooking the bacon a couple minutes before adding the broccoli. If using thin bacon, be aware that it will cook a bit faster.
